Proud Princess - Peasant Character - Look Development

I’m happy to share some of the look development and texturing work I contributed to the feature animated film The Proud Princess, created in collaboration with the team at PFX, Prague (CZ). I’m very grateful for the opportunity and would like to thank my supervisors and colleagues for their constant feedback and support—this work would not have been possible without them.

In addition to look development and texturing, I also supported the production with technical work, including pipeline management, scripting, and custom tool development for Maya and V-Ray. I further assisted the project during the lighting stage, contributing to troubleshooting and R&D.

The Proud Princess is a full-length animated feature based on the original Czech fairy tale, famously adapted into a live-action film by Bořivoj Zeman in 1952. This animated version was produced by PFX in collaboration with Luminarfilm, produced by Jindřich Motýl and Martin Růžička, and directed by Radek Beran. The film was released in late 2024 and is currently streaming on Netflix worldwide.
